Book Porn

I mentioned in a previous review that, with all this health stuff, I’ve had a lot of books on hold until I felt good enough to read and absorb them fairly. Well, since I’ve started reading again, I’ve realized just how LARGE my hold pile has gotten. Today, instead of reviewing, I decided to post all the review copies of books I have received in the past few weeks. Mind you, these are only the ones I haven’t read yet. I have quite a few I’ve read and haven’t yet reviewed, and a few I am reading now.

Shown here:

1. Hellhole by Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson
2. Dark Jenny by Alex Bledsoe
3. Lady Protector by L.E. Modesitt, Jr.

Sent to me by Tor.

1. Sasha – Joel Shepherd (sent by Pyr)
2. Dream of Legends by Stephen Zimmer (sent by the author, who I have to mention as being the most patient man on the planet regarding my slow reading/reviewing recently)
3. Thirteen Years Later by Jasper Kent (yes, I have Twelve, as well) – sent by Pyr
4. The Sorcerer’s House – Gene Wolfe
5. Stations of the Tide – Michael Swanwick
6. Pirate Sun – Karl Schroeder
7. Trouble and her Friends – Melissa Scott
8. Farlander – Col Buchanan

1. The Exodus Gate – Stephen Zimmer (sent by the author
2. The Unremembered – Peter Orullian (sent by Tor)

* All books are sent by Tor unless otherwise stated

So there you have it… that’s my “upcoming reads” pile. 🙂

    you've got some fabulous "up-comings!"

You are in for a treat with the Jasper Kent! I read Twelve a bit ago, and loved it like crazy, and I'm half way through Thirteen Years Later and it is teh awesome!

Sorcerer's House by Gene Wolfe is also wonderful too.

Wow- that's quite a stack of books! I feel the same way- so many books, so little time. 🙂

Also, I wanted to ask, does Tor have a program to send bloggers books to review? I've been trying to find every way that I can to find review copies of books. Feel free to tweet me or email me at lisamparkin [at] gmail [dot] come.

Thanks- any help you can give me is sincerely appreciated! 🙂

Hmm, there are a quite a few there that I'm looking forward to seeing your opinions on. Particularly Farlander, and The Unremembered. I've heard good things about those books from other people.

I too would be interested to find out about whether Tor has a review program for bloggers. If you wouldn't mind sending me a quick note, I'm at [dona at fantasyandfaith dot com]. Thanks so much.

Also, I'm sorry for your health problems. I'm saying a prayer for you.

    Best,
    Dona
