I saw this over on DaveBrendon’s Fantasy & SciFi Weblog and Floor to Ceiling Books. It looked like fun so I decided to bring it on over here.
1) One Book that Changed Your Life
I know this may seem kind of ridiculous to a lot of people but this book is really nostalgic to me. This is the first “fantasy” type book I ever read and I completely and absolutely fell in love with it. It opened the “fantasy” gateway for me and got me obsessed (literally) with celtic mythology.
2) One Book You Have to Read More Than Once
I have a hard time limiting this to just one book. While I think the first five books in this series are much better than the last five, this book will forever remain on my “all time classic re-read shelf.” If you haven’t read this book yet, go to your library. Continuing with the fantasy genre without reading a little Zelazny is a crime against humanity…. (okay, forgive the dramatic flourish).
3) One Book You’d Want on a Deserted Island
Wow, this is a hard one for me. I wish I could put down a whole series. I have a feeling that this will change at a moments notice.
4) Two Books That Made You Laugh
I recently wrote a review of this book so I won’t rehash it here, but I can honestly say I was absolutely shocked at how hilarious I found this book. I’m not sure if that means I’m a really twisted person or what, but I really, really enjoyed its humor.

5) One Book That Made You Cry
Yes, I admit it. This book reduced me to a mess of tears and sadness.
6) One Book You Wish You’d Written
I’m still reading this book at the moment, I’ll probably finish it in a few days (meaning a review is coming soon). However, I will say that the sheer brain power it must have taken to put this thing together amazes me. I will say the same thing for Steven Erikson. I am just incredibly, profoundly jealous of the brains these two men must have and yes, I wish I could write something even half so complex, provocative and well thought out.
7) One Book You Wish You’d NEVER Written
First of all, this question makes no sense to me. I’ve never written a book (that’s been published), so…. I guess it should say “One book you wish had never been written.” In that case, here you go:
I think everything has already been said regarding this series of books so I really don’t need to elaborate here on why this book has won my election.
8) Two Books You Are Currently Reading
For me, this is going to have to be three.
