Much to Jared’s chagrin, I went with public polling rather than a random traipse through my local used bookstore. However, to appease him, I will use his random selection method as well as use this list.

I have a current pile that I am working through. I’ll start Guards! Guards! next week. Who knows how long this list will take me, but it will be a fun ride!

Yeah, I know it's be a fun ride 🙂 I loved Good Omens, it was hilarious & I've heard his Discworld books are too, although I haven't tried them yet, so maybe when I will, I'll start with Guards! Guards! 🙂 Happy reading!

  • Jared

    I am appeased!

  • Jamie Gibbs

Yes! Pratchett FTW! I hope you enjoy Guards! Guards! Tis a damn fun ride 😀 Good luck trawling through the rest of the list 🙂

  • Benjamin

Have fun, Sarah! I look forward to seeing what you think of all these. 🙂

yay! can't wait to hear what you think of Tim Powers. and everything else on there!

It will be a fun project. I'm really excited (and daunted) by the list here. Most of the books I'd never have read if they hadn't been listed. I think this should be a lot of fun… and in some cases really force me out of my comfort zone, which is awesome!

    Thanks for participating!

Wow, that is a lot of books! It should be fun to try to read them all, though. There are a lot of good ones on that list – Guards, Guards, The Sandman, Tigana, The Last Unicorn… I really hope you can find The Snow Queen too!

My goodness, what a list! I hope you enjoy reading through all of them and letting your followers know your thoughts regarding them. Smoke and Mirrors, The Last Unicorn, The Sandman, Fables are all great books, and there's a number on your list that I'd like to read too. Enjoy and good luck!

I will whole heartedly concur with City of Saints and mad men, one of my favorite books ever and once you read it, you'll get to read Shriek, which may be the best fantasy book of all time.

I wouldn't spend a single penny on Butcher's Storm Front which I would consider one of the most offensively bad books I've ever had the misfortune of beginning(I couldn't get past the first hundred pages). Find it at the library if you can.
