I am a book blogger and the owner of Bookworm Blues - a popular speculative fiction book review website. I have been a compulsive reader all my life. Early on found my reading niche in the fantastic genre of Speculative Fiction. I blame my active imagination for the hobbies that threaten to consume my life. A freelance writer and photographer, world traveler and recent college graduate, I'm also a new mother, cancer fighter & survivor. In my ideal world, I'd do nothing but drink lots of tea and read from a never ending pile of speculative fiction books. Respected as a reviewer, I receive book ARCs from all of the major and most minor publishers in science fiction and fantasy. But given my love of stories, I've always wanted to be a part of the creative process, and editing is my first step in that direction.

SF Signal Podcast

Last week I recorded another podcast with SF Signal. The topic of this one was “What SF/F character would you want to be and why?” I was on there with the infamous author Django Wexler, Patrick Hester, and Jeff Patterson (he also does The Three Hoarsemen podcast). Check it out. It was a lot of fun.

Dude, It’s All About the Prose.

Damn you, Chuck! (AKA: The Amazing Wendig)

Damn you, Chuck. The last thing I needed was another author addiction. I like my fantasy the same way I like my tea, black, unsweetened, and deep. Chuck Wendig is one of the rare authors who seems to tap into that without any shame or apology. That’s probably why, despite the fact that I’ve only…

New Feature | Celebrating Authors

I have spent two weeks sicker than a dog. I’m finally (after three doctor visits) getting over it (yay!) but all the downtime has given me a lot of time to think up ideas. One of my ideas I’m going to start on right away. I love talking about books, but I’m also anxious to…
